Introduction

Very strategic location at the roads' connection of E55, the railroads, quality infrastructure, trades' tradition and labour source offer make the city of Teplice a good place for investors and their projects.
The city of Teplice has been ranked among the important industry and production centres of the Czech Republic for a long period of time. In the 90's tens of medium and small private enterprising subjects with a large scale of production and business activities, which changed the very long one-side orientedness of the city to ceramic and glass industry – although it still has a major role thanks primarily to Glaverbel company, were established. Both investments to infrastructure in the industry zone and for example speeded procedures of property and lots sales to enterprising subjects. The City Hall has been of course trying to keep both the existing entrepreneurs and attract new entrepreneurs and investors. Although it is a long-term and demanding process – especially in the situation where the number of unemployed has been rising on the scale of the whole republic – we believe that Teplice offers a quality chance of employment and enterprising in this period of time.
