The Beethoven Sanatorium Complex

The Beethoven Sanatorium Complex

The spa complex includes the historic buildings of the Teplice spas, new spa service buildings and the opposite row of historic town houses (with the signs of the Golden Sun, the Golden Cross, the Golden Pelican, the Golden Harp, the Golden Well) that serve for accommodation of spa guests. The first historic spa building is the Primordial Spring whose empire building from 1838 – 1839 stands at the site of the original Town Spas and the first Teplice spas building as such. Adjacent to the Primordial Spring are the buildings of the Princely Spas, Ladies Spas and Pulper Spas, joined by the Garden House – today the main entrance and reception of the Beethoven complex. Perpendicularly to it a far older building adjoins – the so-called Panský dům (Master House), whose present-day appearance originates in 1825 and which served for accommodation of persons from higher circles.
