The Waterworks at náměstí Míru (Peace Square)

This is an atypical waterworks or rather a fountain in the form of a high transparent tube from which the water falls into a small pool. In 2002 it replaced the original meteorological pillar covered by a steel-glass calotte. Together with the steel colonnade around the calotte it belongs to modern remodelling of the square premises where until 1946 an old district of dwelling houses stood in the centre of the original town.
