Botanical Garden of Teplice

The garden is opened yearlong and every-day with the exception of Monday, which is a sanitary day. The opening hours during the winter are 9:00 AM to 17:00 PM, from May till the end of September the opening hours are prolonged by one hour, that is till 18 00 PM.

Admission:
The admission is 50 CZK, children and seniors pay 25 CZK and a seasonal ticket for one year is available for purchase. Dogs are allowed to enter the garden although a leash and an excrement bag is a must.

Botanical gardens indisputably rank among the basic cultural institutions. Their task is not only to popularise botanics and other nature sciences but also to inspire the widest public, to which they offer a wide selection of rarely grown, unusual or even new species and kinds of plants. In addition to that the quiet and calm  environment of gardens is somewhat an asylum offering the visitors the welcomed moments of relaxation in today’s technological and hectic world. It´s  cultural  mission also includes preservation of

genetic riches and that is both the original species of plants and hybrids and cultivars presenting centuries of meticulous work of numerous generations of gardeners and breeders. Other functions, those are the scientific and protective ones, stay out of side of the public but are inherently the essential goals of the garden. The Botanic Garden of Teplice is the same as it has been a worthy partner of not only Czech but also European botanical gardens due to its hundred-years-long history.
